Any student in need of financial support can apply for a bursary award to help with the cost of travel, essential trips, books, equipment or other course-related costs. These are items the student would otherwise need to pay for in order to participate in their course. Allocation of the bursary award is based on an assessment of individual financial need. Students must meet the criteria of 96% or more with regard to their attendance and they must meet the criteria of committed or above in their AtL (attitude to learning) in their assessment points. All students are issued with a bursary application form and receive advice regarding the deadlines for submission, payment points and criteria for eligibility in assemblies at the start of each academic year.
