In year 8 students all have the opportunity to supervise reception on a rota and to be involved in a range of other year group activities. There are student leaders in every form and they meet to represent the views of the student body.

Students also take their options in Year 8 for GCSE and this process begins in January of the academic year. Students are guided through the process and parents are given information to help youngsters make the best decision for them.

It is important to raise aspirations and we have strong links with Sheffield Hallam University and Newcastle University to ensure that students begin to explore the opportunities that lie ahead of them and that our students can ‘Achieve Excellence’ throughout their lives.
